Just live. Not all of us ride horses, climb mountains, have our own gardens, work on 1950’s Land Rovers or what have ya, and that is a-ok. You don’t have to fit in the confines of living “old-school” or trying to be “genuine”. Do your day to day and enjoy that! Your journey is just as captivating as anyone’s, regardless of how many filters make it look good on @instagram. It’s okay to just live, no one can ask anything more from you, and you can only one-up it by living well. - 1924

Traveling on only $500 each allowed us experiences that we would have missed if we had waited for “ideal” circumstances. We slept under the stars in New Mexico and stayed at the houses of total strangers in Denver. Strangers in Flagstaff let us eat at their graduation party and park rangers in Utah told us where to find free camping. New friends from the Internet bought us doughnuts in Chicago and old friends from the Internet insisted on paying for every expense in Detroit. We viewed incredible sights, met the kindest people, and made lifelong memories.

Sacrifice for your dreams; it’s worth it.

So this post went from a thousand notes to 7k in the last 12 hours and I have no idea why but as always I’m super thankful for the support, especially considering how much I invested in these shots. Thanks all!
